BOSIET offshore safety training

In preparation for an expedition to the Barents Sea, scientists from the German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam and the University of Duisburg/Essen had to undergo the offshore safety training BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training). In anticipation of the research project attracting attention via social media channels in the future, 5 posts were produced for Twitter and a YouTube video showing the researchers training in the water and also presenting emotions via interviews.

In addition, this is the beginning of a science documentary (series) that will cover the entire “Prospectomics” project and give impressions of the effort that needs to be put into seafloor research to advance humanity in areas such as climate change mitigation.
