Circling around circles
In RITOURNELLES, everything revolves around circling. Dancing, humming, and singing, three performers create a magical circle with their bodies, voices, and objects. Within this circle, they invent new words, rhythms, and movements. Sometimes the circle grows enormous, sometimes it becomes tiny, and at other times it takes the shape of a cave.
The performers experiment, get surprised, and sometimes even fail — and in doing so, they create a kind of magic that gives both young and adult audiences courage and awakens a desire for adventure.
